Yellow–Yellow– Everywhere!

What a fun little theme for a color challenge, monochromatic yellow.  Here is the result…….

I used a paint sample card from the hardware store, and the bottom layer of paper is embossed using the CB.  The yellow ric-rak added a soft texture and the yellow stars seemed to put the bird flying at heights only the sun and stars can appreciate.  The bird was stamped in  yellow ink and dusted with a little tiny bit of sparkle.  So what do you think?

  1. Genius to use the paint chip—I have tons of them and always forget to use them. All the elements from the stars to the rickrack make for a cohesive design.

  2. Stamper’s Sampler has an current submission call for stamping artists using paint chips. Check it out in the June/July issue. If you can’t find the mag, you may be able to find the submission guidelines online. Do it!
