Two Pig– or– not Two Pig

Here is some of my art work that I plan on using in a memory box of my daughter’s second birthday.  I enjoy decorating my house with items that mean something, and not just some print that I got at the store.  So this particular memory box will be all about her second birthday celebrating in style with the theme of pink pigs.  It was such a fun theme and there are some darling balloons and accessories to make decorating and celebrating a lot of fun.

To create this piggy two—I cut  a “2” from the cricut—removed the actual cutout and discarded.  The paper from which the “2” was removed is now a stencil.  Placing the stencil on white paper, I used 2 different pig stamps and began stamping and filling in space dictated by the stencil.  Once the stencil is removed it left behind an adorable number created from the theme of the party—pigs!  I used prismas–2 shades of pink– and gamsol to color in the pigs.  To finish off the project, added some random black dots, pink stars, and of course a little glitter on a few of those pigs.

I am a papercrafter who attempts to view life at a tricycle pace. If you are in a hurry don't ask me for directions. I love making art to swap, especially retro art. Creating is fun, but creating for the purpose of sharing is fulfilling.
