Drifting Away!

Nobody ever likes to say good-bye to summer, but with the month of September knocking on the door of the calendar, it is hard to believe that another summer has passed.  Don’t you agree?

Sometimes good-byes are hard, but hoping that this “Twinchie with an Inchie” will cause you to smile as we all say farewell to summer days!

The twinchie is a 2×2 square and I thought the water paper was perfect for the theme.  The droplets of water were glazed over with some clear epoxy and it really gives a nice dimention and makes the water appear “real.”  Then a 1×1 inch square was punch out of the middle of the twinchie to reveal the woman drifting away, that is why you only see her feet. :0)  The image is from Art Impressions.

The inchie dangling from the twinchie was attached with blue thread, and is a computer generated image of an inner-tube.

All images were colored with Prismas and Gamsol!  This was one project, that I was thrilled with the outcome.  I hope all the ladies in the SCS swap will be just as thrilled when they receive one.

This is probably a good time to say—Happy Fall!

About Christy

I am a papercrafter who attempts to view life at a tricycle pace. If you are in a hurry don't ask me for directions. I love making art to swap, especially retro art. Creating is fun, but creating for the purpose of sharing is fulfilling.

  1. Reminds me of tubing down the Platte River on a hot summer day, something we did not see in Northern Michigan this summer.
