The retro “yelping woman” image was all the inspiration behind this Halloween card. The image is a rubber stamp and I found the best way to ink this type of image is by using a brayer. It gives a nice even coat of ink, and allows for a realistic retro impression.
The kid wearing the paperbag costume is also a rubber stamp, colored in with Tombow Markers and Prismas with Gamsol. The “yikes” is layered on a yellow circle to tie in some colors and adhered with a foam square to make it 3D.
Hope this card is some inspiration for you as we enter “costume season!”
