peaceful meadow

This card was created using a CB embossing folder and a palate of watercolor shimmer paints.  I used watercolor paper to emboss the image on because watercolor paper accepted the watercolor shimmer paints perfectly.  Regular cardstock did not handle the water very well.   Once the card base was embossed the shimmer paints were applied only on the raised portions using an artist paintbrush.  This simple technique left behind a shimmery touch of color.

Layering the embossed base with like shades of blue keeps the attention on the embossed image.  Keeping in the blue color family creates a peaceful impression.  Give this technique a try!
