Generations of Style

The art of rubber stamping is the inspiration behind my creations.  It brings great satisfaction to alter an image and with a little imagination it takes on a different dimention and personality. The images are available at

Now that you have a feel for the original images, here is what I created as a tribute to mothers and their ability to pass on style for generations.

The images were colored with COPIC markers.  The text was cut from magazine pages.  The living room chair is a computer generated image with tiny buttons added on the back for a real fabric touch and made the perfect fit for this woman’s original partner.  A little sparkle was added with my favorite clear Gelly Roll pen.  The chipboard tag is attached with a flocked brad and the text continued with the same theme of being cut from a magazine.  Don’t forget to appreciate the style that your mother passed along to you, but don’t forget to pursue your style that lies within!  🙂

About Christy

I am a papercrafter who attempts to view life at a tricycle pace. If you are in a hurry don't ask me for directions. I love making art to swap, especially retro art. Creating is fun, but creating for the purpose of sharing is fulfilling.
