Movement & Balance

Movement!  I crave it and fear it simultaneously.  The act of moving ahead can involve change in location physically, but I am speaking of something far deeper than a new address.  The journey of the soul moving along  creates uncharted territory, territory that can even frustrate the best of GPS devices, all while evolving new emotions and perspective.  But on the flip side, the act of remaining still, quiet, or stuck in the waiting room of circumstances is unsettling.  Perhaps I can take some advice from the popular summer transportation, the bicycle.  Movement  is bittersweet but certainly does promote balance.

I created the card below while debating this issue of movement.  The background was created using the COPIC Airbrushing System and a series of arrow stencils.  The bicycle image was stamped and colored with COPIC markers with a little extra sparkle added with the COPIC SPICA Glitter Pens and cut out.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed with white powder.  The line of birds is a Martha Stewart boarder punch and one of my favorites.

Hope you find some inspiration from this card to experiment with your COPIC Airbrushing System.

About Christy

I am a papercrafter who attempts to view life at a tricycle pace. If you are in a hurry don't ask me for directions. I love making art to swap, especially retro art. Creating is fun, but creating for the purpose of sharing is fulfilling.
