With the thoughts of Fall just around the corner, I thought it would be a great time to show you a picture of how we celebrated the 4th of July this year. We did something different—and boy, was it ever fun! So why am I excited to show you a summer celebration in the middle of Fall?
This is why…………..
Yes–we carved watermelons. You should have seen the kids, digging out that melon, juice dripping everywhere, they were eating fruit like crazy. Just some great sticky summer fun for our family. We were camping that weekend, and so doing this project outside was a blast. These watermelon creations were the talk of the campground. Several people stopped and admired, and of course we had lots of melon to share. Carving the watermelons is now part of the annual 4th of July family tradition. I love these kind of memories!
How wonderful! What a great tradition to start! Can hardly wait to see if you do pumpkins!! Blessings to you!
